WHAT MAKES HER AN AWESOME TUTOR
I understand that learning is different for everyone. Every student has a different relationship with subjects like math and science, which always have a lot of content to cover during the school year. At times, studying can seem challenging and overwhelming. Trust me these feelings are totally valid; I’ve been there and felt like that! As such, in order to make learning fun and engaging, I like to cater to each and every student’s individual learning style. I like to connect the textbook content to everyday life, particularly hobbies and interests students may have. I want students to know that I understand how stressful and long those study sessions may feel, and so, I am committed to making each and every tutoring session enjoyable and productive for them. At the end of the day, I want to share my passion for math and science with every student and help them gain confidence in their abilities.

Favourite Mathematical Weapon: Desmos!!! – In high school my advanced functions/calc teacher used to rave about Desmos all the time. I didn’t realize how useful it was until my first Calculus course in university!

Education: Currently an undergrad at U of T, pursuing a double major in Cell & Molecular Biology and Fundamental Genetics and Its Applications, as well as a minor in Physiology.
Fave Tech device: Definitely my phone…
Fave Book: The Harry Potter series!
Fave Song: This changes all the time! Once a song is overplayed enough, it’s time to move onto the next one ;)
Fave Outfit: Anything oversized & layered or a satin dress – there’s no in between!
Fave TV Show: One Piece (although it’s an amine), Prison Break, Stranger Things, and On my Block.
Fave Movie: Again, the Harry Potter series & pretty much all the Marvel movies (especially Avengers: Infinity War!!!)
When you're not crunching numbers: I love exploring nature with family and friends whether it’s watching the sunset at Lakeshore, visiting farms outside of Toronto, or hiking in Conservation areas. Other than that, I’m either cooking/baking or watching shows/anime with my kitten Bella – she usually ends up sitting on my laptop blocking my view of the screen!
What's the best thing about you? I am patient and kind. I understand that some days might not be the best, so it is totally fine to just stop, take a deep breath, and work towards something one step at a time.
NERD ALERT!
I love observing the chemistry that happens all around us in our daily lives! Particularly when cooking/baking, I find myself searching up the solubilities of different ingredients or thinking about chemical reactions such as fermentation, which causes dough to rise. I like to think of the kitchen as my own little lab :)
