5 Tips to get you ready for exam season

Hey, hey, hey! It’s May, which means exams are RIGHT around the corner and we’ve got some awesome tips to help you get through the most wonderful time of the year! We know exams can be overwhelming, but fear not my friends! With these tips, you'll be more than ready to tackle anything that comes your way.

1. Start Early and Stay Organized

We know no one wants to hear this, but trust us: Starting early is key! Don't wait until the last minute to start cramming all that info into your brain. Instead, break things down into smaller, more manageable chunks. Use a planner or calendar to keep track of when your exams are and plan your study schedule accordingly. And don't forget to stay organized! Keep all your notes and study materials in one place so you can find them easily when it’s time to study and review.

2. Review Class Notes Regularly

You've got this one, guys! Just review your notes regularly to help reinforce what you've learned and to identify any areas where you need extra help. For the next month, take some time after each class to go over your notes and make sure you understand everything - this is the perfect time to start flagging any concepts that need extra TLC as exam time approaches. And if you're not sure about something, don't be afraid to ask your teacher or classmates for help. You got this!

3. Practice, Practice, Practice

Practice makes progress, my peeps! Use practice problems, old tests and and sample exams to help test your knowledge and identify areas where you need to improve. And if you need some extra help, don't be shy! Ask your teacher or tutor for some guidance as to what resources you can use to get even more practice under your belt. Remember, practice makes progress, so keep at it!

4. Make it social

Studying doesn’t have to be a solo sport, and in fact, studying with a group of friends can be SO fun and can help you learn in SO many different ways. You can motivate each other and keep each other accountable for studying, you can practice explaining concepts to one another or even make practice tests to test each other’s knowledge. Just make sure you stay focused and avoid getting too distracted. The key here is to have fun, learn together and support each other.

5. Take Care of Yourself

You guys are rockstars, but remember, you're only human. Taking care of yourself is key during exam season. Get enough sleep, eat healthy, and take breaks when you need them. Don't forget to take care of your mental health too and try to stay positive throughout the studying process. This is a hard one, but NEVER sacrifice your sleep for extra hours of studying - it won’t pay off, trust us - we’ve all made that mistake before!

So there you have it! Five tips to help you ace those exams. Start early, review your notes, practice, make it social, and take care of yourself. Just remember, you've got this, and we’re cheering you on!
